Millmount Install Pharmacarton Coding Station

Millmount Healthcare have partnered with Sunala Ltd. and Wolke for the introduction of their in-house coding system. The Pharmacarton 3 Coding Station has been installed at the company's CityNorth manufacturing facility.

The Pharmacarton 3 is designed for in-line, high resolution digital printing of lot, expiry and barcodes for pharmaceutical and medical cartons. This will enable Millmount to meet imminent EC track & trace regulations, including the French CIP13 coding legislation.

The forthcoming legislation requires all pharmaceutical packaging supplied within the EC to incorporate a serialised 2D Datamatrix code on individual packs.

Pharmacarton 3 combines a precision multi-belt conveyor with a synchronised top hold down belt and includes a Wolke m600 Advanced inkjet printer, with an OCR/OCV optical character verification system. A reject station with pack rejected confirmation ensures failed packs are managed securely.

With the Pharmacarton 3 on-site, Millmount Healthcare are in a position to provide the maximum flexibility for it's partners to supply all marketplaces.
